- software or breath mint you are using, I'll share my own experiences with
- you.

- I'm running an 11/750 with vms 5.4-3 and UCX 2.0. This is a real slow
- puppy even on a good day. Often when I try to do NFS mounts from our NeXT
- boxes, we see messages similiar to those you mention.

- Basically it appears that if the 750 is busy it takes quite a while to
- start a new process to service NFS. The NeXT gets quite impatient about
- the delay and times out. I guess I should configure things to start the
- nfs server at boot time and keep it around. I haven't really hacked around
- to see if there is a way to lengthen the amount of time the NeXT's will
- wait.
