- It's a file copier. Details are given on how to make the cable (which
- needs a DB25 connecter and a 6pin DIN plug).
- It connects between the PC's parallel port and the the 1541. It's main
- use (for me) is to port text files between the PC and my 128.
-
- You could not 'run' commodore programs on the PC with just this, but it
- would let you import the files. There is also a C64.zip emulator for the pc
- but it needs a hercules card, and does not support colour, sprites or sound.
- This may or may not let you run some commodore files... I think the guys in
- Germany who developed it just did it for a laugh.
-
- Both c64.zip and x1541.exe are on ccosun.caltech.edu /pub/rknop/INCOMING.
