  28. If you don't want to invest a couple of dollars in a chip extractor, 
  29. (similar to a fuse puller for a car), you can use a samll flathead screwdriver
  30. to remove the chip.  Just be careful of the traces under it, and try to
  31. remove it with even pressure.
  32. Regarding buying the chip, why do that, when you can get it from either
  33. Doc Johnson in Parma or Computer Site in Strongsville?  Both still service
  34. Commodore equipment, although Doc is starting to get up there in age,
  35. and Computer Site is considering getting out of repairs except for members
  36. of  the local user group, Basic Bits Commodore Group.
