Qlink is the only online service I have ever tried, but I have tried
it long enough to form an opinion. Personally I think it is a
gimmick. The members' guide states, "only $9.95 per month for
unlimited basic service." However it does not state that almost
all services are plus services which are about $5.00 per hour. The
basic services, IMHO, are not worth the $9.95 cost. They do
provide you with an hour of plus service a month free, but this
does not justify the cost. If you really would like the latest
public domain and shareware programs, I suggest trying a PD distributer
or a good local BBS. These two services will get you more programs
for your money.
However, if you don't believe me or are hard headed :), to
find out how to connect call 1-800-392-8200 in U.S. (this is the
only thing that is free :) ).
