- they foolishly paid an incredible amount of money for a trademark
- and an obsolete product line. The announced Intent to Purchase is
- disturbing because Novell's interests are not consistent with those
- of the UN!X community.

- There are far fewer "varieties" of UN!X today than was the case
- years ago. Those that remain pale next to those personal computer
- users currently deal with, given the flavors of MS DOS, non-MS DOS,
- window managers (Desqview, MS Windows), and so on. If UN!X ends up
- purified in Novell's image, I may get out of this business.
