- Someone told me that Novel and USL had written a very good implementation
- of Netware on Unix but that Novell had pretty much shelved the product
- and wasn't pushing it at all. With the purchase of USL that situation
- should change.

- However, as I posted earlier, this move by Novell is basically a symptom
- of the pressure Microsoft is applying to them. They are desperate. It
- is my unqualified opinon that this move will destroy Novell just as
- Borland is suffocating from their purchase of AT.

- The biggest problem with UNIX is that there are too many varieties. That
- is plain and simple. Microsoft has a very compelling argument with
- windows on all platforms. If Novell can "purify" unix and force everyone
- to have a compliant interface (and API set) then maybe it has a chance.
