- To my understanding, if one cannot deduct an IRA, the only tax advantage
- of having an IRA is that the gains could be tax-deferred.

- But many growth funds offer a plan to automatically reinvest the capital
- gains. As long as I don't receive any cash in hand, I don't pay any taxes.
- Thus my earnings are tax-deferred without even having an IRA.

- So what really is the advantage of a non-deductible IRA? Am I missing
- something?
