- Well here goes..I'll try to answer as briefly as possible, if you
- have any more questions send me email.
- You can't run an MIO or a BB on an 800.
- They need a PBI to hook up to so its XL/XE stuff.
- They don't make MIOs anymore but you may be able to pick one up
- used in a sale from here or Genie or CIS.
- Both the BB & MIO have RS232s and printer ports and interface HDs.
- The MIO now can be hooked to SCSI, SASI controllers and imbeded
- controllers..(with HDFMTPH9.COM) to format imbeded controllers.
- The MIO only stores data the standard 256byte blocks and stores
- it backwards. The BB can go either way (its switchable) and it
- can store in 512byte blocks like the ibm drives. Its compatible
- with more drives than the mio.
- OH yes..the BB is sold by CSS (716-429-5639 voice).
- The BB has a number of attachments that make life wonderful for
- the 8bitter like the floppy board that makes ibm high density drives
- compatible w/atari and makes them go at lightning speed.
- Both MIO & BB support high baud modem rates to 19.2k b.
- Send me a disk and I'll put Kermit-65 on it and send it back.
- My address is Joe Sabatino, 31 Skoplee, Girard, OH 44420-3308.
- If you had access to the archive you could d/l it from there
- using the BART mailer.
