- Well, one thing I noticed is (this isn't off the subject, but it is
- totally useless information) that ARCing usually trims down a (set of)
- file(s) enough that when the ARC is UUEncoded, it takes almost exactly
- the same amount as the unARC'd, unUUEncoded data. Perhaps ALFing may be
- an even better idea (or does that compress at all? I've only seen a few
- ALFs in my day, and Bob Puff's SuperUnARC/UnALF 2.4 does the trick... I
- notice that ALFing stores ARCs, so it may be a better compression.
