  13. I know this question should be addressed to my local system's
  14. consultant, but I have, and they weren't able to help.  I should
  15. have known by now...It's pointless to ask Apple II related questions
  16. to non-Apple II people, kinda like taking your Porche 911 Carrera 4
  17. to a Yugo dealer and expect them to help you out :-)

  19. So, here is the question:

  21. I am having a heck of a rough time uploading to my Unix account.
  22. I have a Rom 1 GS, using Proterm 3.0 and SupraFAXmodem v.32bis (14.4).
  23. Downloads are fine, I can use zmodem (sz) ymodem-G (sb) normal
  24. ymodem batch, xmodem, etc. but for the life for me, I can't upload!
  25. Not even with kermit!  I get an average of 1600+ cps on compressed
  26. files when downloading (the local dial port supports 9600, not 14.4,)
  27. and as high as 3000 cps for text files.

  29. The consultant has suggested that I try altering the "terminal setting"
  30. of the port before I actually login to one of the unix machines, and
  31. I have, to no avail.

  80. I've tried changing the flowcontrol to hardware for both
  81. in and out, but it doesn't matter, and I have the correct
  82. hardware handshaking cable for the modem.

  84. It's frustrating, since I am unable to upload anything to the ftp's
  85. and there are actually a few things that I have that might be of
  86. interest to someone.

  88. Please help me if you can, and if I have offended anyone by asking
  89. this question of c.s.a2, please accept my apologies in advance.  I
  90. am desperate!
