- I know this question should be addressed to my local system's
- consultant, but I have, and they weren't able to help. I should
- have known by now...It's pointless to ask Apple II related questions
- to non-Apple II people, kinda like taking your Porche 911 Carrera 4
- to a Yugo dealer and expect them to help you out :-)
-
- So, here is the question:
-
- I am having a heck of a rough time uploading to my Unix account.
- I have a Rom 1 GS, using Proterm 3.0 and SupraFAXmodem v.32bis (14.4).
- Downloads are fine, I can use zmodem (sz) ymodem-G (sb) normal
- ymodem batch, xmodem, etc. but for the life for me, I can't upload!
- Not even with kermit! I get an average of 1600+ cps on compressed
- files when downloading (the local dial port supports 9600, not 14.4,)
- and as high as 3000 cps for text files.
-
- The consultant has suggested that I try altering the "terminal setting"
- of the port before I actually login to one of the unix machines, and
- I have, to no avail.
-

- This is the setting (hopefully this will mean something to someone)

- I've tried changing the flowcontrol to hardware for both
- in and out, but it doesn't matter, and I have the correct
- hardware handshaking cable for the modem.
-
- It's frustrating, since I am unable to upload anything to the ftp's
- and there are actually a few things that I have that might be of
- interest to someone.
-
- Please help me if you can, and if I have offended anyone by asking
- this question of c.s.a2, please accept my apologies in advance. I
- am desperate!
