  22. Any ADB keyboard or mouse equivalent for the Mac should work on the
  23. IIgs, provided it is an exact emulation of the Apple keyboard and
  24. mouse.  Other devices require a device driver on the Mac, and on the
  25. IIgs.  A IIgs driver is not usually supplied with these devices.

  27. For example, a Macintosh ADB TouchScreen will not work on a IIgs
  28. without a driver.
  29. An enterprising programmer should be able to write one.  The company
  30. may be prepared to supply information on the register layout of the
  31. device, or the Mac driver could be disassembled to get this information.

  34. Someone else made a comment about certain keys on extended keyboards
  35. "not working" on the IIgs.  All extended keyboard keys generate a
  36. unique key code (function keys all return lowercase letters with the
  37. "numeric keypad" bit set in the keyboard modifier register).  Software
  38. needs to recognise these keys specially, and there aren't very many
  39. programs that do.

  42. Another person asked about Mac ADB modems.  This is a case in which a
  43. device driver would be required, as well as a communications program
  44. that could be modified to use the driver instead of standard serial
  45. ports.
