- While I have to agree that for most people a screen saver is a luxury (albeit
- a fun luxury!), I have definitely seen the results of screen burn-in on real-
- life screens. Hmmm, but come to think of it, they were mostly _mainframe_
- terminals. Maybe there's a connection there.....

- But for real people, screen savers are probably only an issue in the type of
- environment where the screen is typically left switched on overnight, as many
- businesses do to avoid powering machines up and down, or for out-of-hours
- backups or dial-ins. I'd be very surprised if there was a genuine need for a
- saver for home use.
