- Error $0681 is "Event Queue Damaged". It usually means that a program
- has written data into the wrong part of memory and overwrote part of
- the event queue. Another common error that can occur in this
- situation is $0308 "Damaged HeartBeat Queue".
-
- The most common reason for either of these errors is a program with a
- bug (or a damaged program file), or a conflict between two programs.
- Have you installed any new INITs, Desk Accessories, etc. recently?
- Does the problem only appear within a particular application?
-
- It may also indicate a heat-related problem in the computer, which
- could be fixed by installing a fan.
