- I ran an apple //c (rom 0) for two years in college with a '816 installed in
- place of the original 65C02. Never had a single problem with it. In fact,
- my little sister still uses it with the 65816 installed. If I remember when
- I installed it, I noticed that a few of the pins were not used on the //e and
- //c. Perhaps one of these unused pins passed on a timing signal for the upper
- 8 bits? Don't ask me, I am far from an electronics guru.
