- Close. ROM 00 was the original release. ROM 01 was the "bug fix" in 1987.

- But ROM 02 never existed. Because so many users (according to the legend,
- anyway) where confused that ROM 01 was the second ROM release, Apple decided
- to call the third ROM release "ROM 03". This was to alleviate the fears of
- non-techies who can't figure out how to count from zero. :)
