  12. From the last message that I saw on c.b.a2 this morning, I think that
  13. there is another way to stop the posting of non-binary messages to
  14. c.b.a2.

  21. This person looked for a discussion group, but couldn't find a
  22. DISCUSSION group that is specifically for c.b.a2.  I believe that
  23. this would be a good thing, to create a comp.binaries.apple2.d.

  25. The good things that would become of this would include:
  26.  
  27.     o Less traffic on c.s.a2 of people requesting reposts,
  28.     posting problems, or asking for help.
  29.  
  30.     o Better organization of c.b.a2 in that (theoretically)
  31.     people would stop posting messages containing ONLY text to
  32.     c.b.a2. 
  33.  
  34.     o Easier to find information or help about a certain program
  35.     that has been posted than wading through the load of messages
  36.     on c.s.a2.

  38. Although, this also might not work.  In other binaries groups with
  39. discussion groups, like alt.binaries.sounds.misc, most of the
  40. discussion takes place in the .d group but some still stays in the
  41. binaries group.  This would also mean one more group to read for
  42. readers of many groups.  However, I feel the pros outweigh the cons
  43. so it is worth a try.

  45. Does anyone else believe the same way I do?  If so speak up!  Tell
  46. us why you think this would work or why it wouldn't work.  Tell me
  47. if this has already been tried before!  (I'm pretty sure it hasn't)
  48. If the readers of c.s.a2 think that this is worth trying, mail me.
  49. If enough people think the same way I do about this I will go to
  50. news.newgroups to figure out how to do a proposal and RFD.  <grin>
