  19. technology. Winchester hard disks are a mature technology. Internal combustion
  20. engines are a mature technology. Core memory is an obsolete technology. MS-DOS
  21. is an obsolete technology.  CD-ROM is a stepping stone to commodity read-write
  22. optical disk.
