- If you read my post carefully you would see that I said "MANY TIMES" not ALL
- the time... and likewise I stated that I was not familiar with the program
- in question...nor the computer expertise of the original poster.
-
- But regardless of *who* wrote the manual for the program in question, the
- response to the original poster to "RTFM" was totally uncalled for because
- it made an assumption that the responder could NOT have known about the
- original poster. And that is what I was *trying* to get across.
-
- And just because something is written by a "specialist" does not AUTOMATICALLY
- mean that any fool/idiot can understand it. That is likewise an assumption,
- because not everyone is capable of following directions, no matter how simple.
-
- I don't know what kind of Dr. you are, Sir, but if you have ever tried to
- teach, you may have noticed that there are some students that you have to
- clobber with bricks and TOTAL simplicity to get them to understand even the
- most simple concepts, that to you are second nature/common knowledge.
-
- While the foregoing may sound like a slam to the intelligence of the original
- poster, it is not. I am merely *trying* to illustrate the idea that making
- assumptions is as valid as believing stereotypes...ie, not at all valid.
-
- But then, some people have to be clobbered with bricks to get them to
- understand even the most simple concepts... ;>
-
- Apologies have already been made, both to me, and, I assume, to the original
- poster by the responder in question. (At least he said he was going to apologize
- to the original poster).

- (BTW, I have trouble understanding the docs that came with the 2.04 ROM. I keep
- getting the impression that I need to have some sort of "background" which I
- don't have, in order to make sense out of the terminology used. It doesn't seem
- to match the terminology I am used to from MAC/MS-DOS/APPLE ][ and CP/M. Like,
- what the H*ll is a "commodity"??? To me it is something on the New York Stock
- Exchange having to do with Futures...and I just can't relate the term to
- computers...nor can I understand the difference between a utility, a tool or
- a project... *whimper*)
