  11.   I picked up my A1200 from my dealer on Thursday.  I've been on
  12. the road for the last couple of days (Christmas and all) so I havent
  13. had much of a chance to really use it yet.

  15.   Here are a couple of things I have noticed so far.
  16.  
  17. 1.  It does not come with the 23 to 15 pin video adapter.  There was
  18. an errata sheet in the box saying this.  I had my dealer throw one
  19. in for another $15.00.  ouch!
  20.  
  21. 2.  The hard drive install went smoothly.  Yes, you need a cable,
  22. no you cant fit a 3.5" drive.  Yes, the hard disk mounting bracket
  23. is in there, it doubles as the keyboard support.
  24.  
  25. 3.  Since I bought a "no HDD" version, the OS3.0 package came 
  26. without a Install disk.  I thoughtfully brought along my 2.1 upgrade
  27. and installed that on the hard disk.  I need to update it to the 3.0
  28. stuff.

  30. 4.  The keyboard is the international version, with two extra keys,
  31. one near the return key and one near the left shift.  See the picture
  32. in Amiga World.  Its that keyboard, except that they dropped the
  33. English Pound sign an replaced it with the US signage.

  35. 5.  Things are really packed inside the case.  A combined 030, RAM
  36. and SCSI board looks iffy, based on available real estate. (GVP,
  37. prove me wrong, please :-).

  39.   I'll try to put together a review for Dan Barrett in the next 
  40. couple of days.

  42.   I'd like to thank George Robbins and his crew for putting together
  43. the A1200.  Its a neat package.  The internal's have a real quality
  44. look to them and the engineering is impressive.
