- pnmtops works fine on: post 1.7, ghostscript, HP Laserjet III,
- Apple Laserwriter, Pacific Page XL for HP LJ III, Ultrix Display
- Postscript tool (dxpsview) and OpenWindows pageview. It is accepted
- by several UNIX postscript handling tools I have and conforms fully
- to the Encapsulated Postscript Format (EPSF) from Adobe. I can also
- include pnmtops generated output into TeX with dvips.

- It isn't optimal regarding file size but for most situations it is
- the fastest way since the readhexstring operator used is usually
- executed much faster than any decompression routine written in postscript.
