- sorry, won't work - I've got a 2090a and a archive 60Mb here, all amiback
- did was lock the machine when told to talk to the tape. As is well know
- the 2090a's implementation of scsi_direct just doesn't cut it
-
- Best bet is probably to buy a cheap scsi controller (BriWall have CBM 2091's
- for $80US), or to use BTNtape 2.1 (it knows how to work around the 2090a's
- probs, but it's limit for me is you can't access the scsi hd and the scsi
- tape at the same time, and since I've got the tape drive _just_ to backup
- the 300Mb scsi drive in the same enclosure...)
-
- btw - tip of the week, did you realise the MFM side of the 2090a can handle
- 1:1 interleave, but for some reason CBM's roms only format it at 2:1? I've
- reformatted it (using CBM's 2090a adv diags) and read speeds have gone from
- 260K/s to over 400K/s .... why CBM only normally uses 2:1 is beyond me
