- Yes, that is what I want. Now, what did you say was the name of the
- Commodore-supplied utility to do this?

- I don't want a "full-featured" program, I just want a safe program that
- will put things back in an ordered state and tell me what was lost in
- the shuffle. Nearly everything on my HD is either backed up or is out
- on an FTP site where I can get it and reinstall it. People keep sending
- me mail and telling me I'm asking for all these whiz-bang features, and
- that's not what I'm after at all.

- My experience with Norton is that it can't fix what CHKDSK can't fix.
- If my directories get overwritten with junk, CHKDSK complains of all
- sorts of cross-linked files, and Norton turns everything into a
- scrambled mess. That's why I do backups.
