- -> Get serious. There are big differences between a holographic memory
- -> system
- -> and a CD-ROM drive.
-
- CD rom drives have still been rather expensive and only have gradually
- come down in price. Besides being cheap does not mean it will become
- popular. Throw in the costs of creating and mastering CD's and there
- have been real barriers which have stunted the growth of CD-Rom sales.
- Heck only recently has CD-Rom technology taken off in the MS-Dos world
- so it isn't like C= is missing the boat on anything. Suffice to say
- CD-Rom technology will begin to be popular thanks to cheaper mastering
- costs, the drives themselves, AGA chipset etc... For a consumer
- oriented computer company, I'm content in knowing that I won't be left
- out of the CD-Rom revolution. And neither will you. So sit back, pour
- yourself some eggnog and enjoy your Amiga. I know I will.
