- I have recently discovered what could be a problem with my A-3000, or at
- least Amber. I've had it since this past March, but I've been running it
- with a 1084 monitor. Recently I bought a Diamondscan, and found the output
- through Amber to be less than stable - it's OK so long as nothing is moving,
- but when moving windows, or scrolling text (sometimes), I get breakup.
- Individual lines are momentarily shifted over at random - sort of a linear
- static effect is the best I can describe it. Doesn't happen all the time
- but it is quite noticable. At first, I thought it was the monitor - it
- arrived damaged and was obviously misbehaving in other ways, and I sent it
- back (don't use RPS if you can help it, folks - the monitor I was delivered
- had the two bottom styrofoam supports squashed FLAT as though it had been
- dropped off a building, and this is the third time I've had trouble with
- them, out of three encounters...). But recently I gained access to a 1960
- and it shows the same effect.
-
- I did try adjusting the little screw in back, somewhat (it's tough to do
- without the proper tool), but it didn't seem to help much. I'd appreciate
- any suggestions (via Email of course).
