  11. WOW!  Lately I've been trying to get some of those programs working which
  12. are supposed to prevent a program from changing a AGA machine back to
  13. standard NTSC.  (Or PAL).  Well, they seemed complicated and I couldn't
  14. get them to work.  (Ok, I admit I tried only one).

  16. What I found is that in the Prefs drawer is something called IControl.
  17. Maybe a lot of you know what I'm going to say, but if you don't, read on.
  18. There's a box there called "Mode Promotion".  Check it, save, and now all
  19. programs that try to use any other mode work with the mode you have sele-
  20. cted.  When I looked this up in the book, it did not show the box in the
  21. example screen.  The text mentioned a little line on it.  I just thought I'd
  22. mention it in case you've never tried it!

  24. It seems like it works for everything except games, but I didn't really
  25. expect those to work anyway.
