- WOW! Lately I've been trying to get some of those programs working which
- are supposed to prevent a program from changing a AGA machine back to
- standard NTSC. (Or PAL). Well, they seemed complicated and I couldn't
- get them to work. (Ok, I admit I tried only one).
-
- What I found is that in the Prefs drawer is something called IControl.
- Maybe a lot of you know what I'm going to say, but if you don't, read on.
- There's a box there called "Mode Promotion". Check it, save, and now all
- programs that try to use any other mode work with the mode you have sele-
- cted. When I looked this up in the book, it did not show the box in the
- example screen. The text mentioned a little line on it. I just thought I'd
- mention it in case you've never tried it!
-
- It seems like it works for everything except games, but I didn't really
- expect those to work anyway.
