  13. HiLo.  Flipping through the January 1993 issue of AmigaWorld, I see
  14. an advertisement for what looks like something that is too good to be
  15. true for the price:

  17. The CSA Derringer Acellerator:
  18. An acellerator board that fits inside an A1000, 2000 or 500, that
  19. has a 25 MHZ 030 CPU with 6881, and room for 32 megs of 32 bit ram,
  20. that comes with 4 megs of ram (remaps kickstart), for only $500?!

  22. I am considering buying it for my spare A1000, which I may be running a
  23. BBS on shortly.  Has anyone had any experiences with this piece of hardware?
  24. ...oh, and, where does this thing plug in? It looks like one of those
  25. things that sits on the motherboard and replaces a few chips.  The reason
  26. I am wondering is I still need to fit a SCSI controller on the 1000.
