- What I would suggest Gerry, is to load up HDToolBox (or whatever HD
- partitioning software you use) and make sure that the file system on the
- RDB is the latest version. You can achieve this in HDToolbox by;
-
- 1> Selecting the Drive in question
- 2> Select Partition Drive
- 3> Select Advanced options
- 4> Select Add/Update File systems
- 5> Delete the FastFileSystem entry that's there and replace from your 2.0x
- disk
- 6> Save changes to drive and exit
-
- NOTE: Under 2.0x there is no need to actually have the filesystem on the
- RDB (Rigid Disk Block) of the harddrive. This is only necessary if you
- want to be able to boot under 1.2 or 1.3 and be able to mount the drive.
- The FastFileSystem is now in ROM, andand is not needed on the RDB when
- booting under 2.0x.
-
- I have seen old FastFileSystem versions cause problems similar to yours
- severaltimes since 2.04 became available. Hopefully this should solve your
- problem.
