  19. I doubt the omti will be any faster, when we tested the 4070 it gave
  20. a raw speed of about 700K/s, the theoretical maximum for a 1:1 RLL drive
  21. is about 800K/S, so it looks like the 4070 merely is getting lost revs
  22. on step (which means we should have told format on the sun to skew accross
  23. cylinders).

  32. ask around any Sun oriented outfit - the mt02 was the standard tape
  33. controller in the old sun shoeboxes (typically connected to either an
  34. archive 5945c or wangtek 5099en24). Since a 60Mb tape drive is a bit
  35. small for a Unix system nowdays, you should be able to find an un-used
  36. one easy enough (that's how I got mine)
