- a raw speed of about 700K/s, the theoretical maximum for a 1:1 RLL drive

- ask around any Sun oriented outfit - the mt02 was the standard tape
- controller in the old sun shoeboxes (typically connected to either an
- archive 5945c or wangtek 5099en24). Since a 60Mb tape drive is a bit
- small for a Unix system nowdays, you should be able to find an un-used
- one easy enough (that's how I got mine)
