  11. I have an old A2000 (Rev 4.2 Motherboard) that I bought via the first
  12. CBM power-up program many many moons ago.  It is currently outfitted
  13. with 2.04, a Microway Flicker-Fixer, an old CBM 2 meg expansion card and a
  14. GVP 030/22-combo.

  16. Within the past month, whenever I boot the system, it will
  17. hang at random spots during the system boot.  Sometimes a clock
  18. program fails, sometimes Shadowmaster, sometimes Toolmanager.  It also
  19. will crash during the first program I launch at random times.
  20. HOWEVER, if I reset the machine 6 or 7 times (until everything seems
  21. to work), the machine will run flawlessly until I shut if off.

  23. I've tried everything I possibly could to track it down.  I've pulled
  24. out all the removable memory, ran memory tests and swapped the 8250's
  25. with each other.  I've double checked that I haven't added any new
  26. software to the startup-sequence and virus checked multiple times.
  27. I've even sacrificed a floppy or two over the keyboard.  I cannot seem
  28. to find anything wrong.

  30. Does anyone have any clues?  It seems a waste to try to repair it
  31. since the cost of a new A2000 mother board is nearly the price of an
  32. A1200 and I would kill to have an AGA machine.  Please email any
  33. guesses, thanks!
