- Greetings!
-
- I've a problem (why else would I be posting here...); wondering if I
- could get an answer to my dilemma...
-
- While installing a DKB MultiStart II board in my A500 (Rev 6a), I
- figured out that I received the older A500/A2000 version, rather than
- the special 6a version. Other than the fact I can't close up my Amiga
- due to mechanical interference (it's too far forward to install the
- RFI shield as well as the top half of the case!), the product *does*
- function...
-
- What I'd like to know is simple...why the >100% difference in price
- between the A500/A2000 version and the Rev6a version of this device?
-
- Does anyone know of an easy method of retrofitting this to be able to
- mechanically offset it with, say, a set of DIL jumpers (about 6" looks
- like it'd do it real well...even if you had to "dead bug" the ROM's &
- the board itself on the motherboard)?
-
- I may just send the thing back; I bought it only on the recommendation
- of the sales droid on the phone at Creative Computers...
-
- E-Mailed responses would be appreciated; I may be able to keep up with
- the news traffic to read a public reply...all answers will be summarized.
-
-
- Thanx!
