  24. I would save my money and wait for 3.1 (or at least 3.0) to be released for
  25. the 500.  The reason is that 2.x layers performance is lousy - under 3.x
  26. they've fixed this problem (oh boy have they - I think what I've seen on a
  27. 3.x A3000 was at least a 3x increase in windowing speed by software upgrade
  28. alone), and it should make operation on an A500 much smoother.  Repeat,
  29. ADOS 3.x is a *speed enhancement*, not a speed eater, over 2.x.

  31. On the other hand, it shouldn't be forever until 3.x is available for the 500,
  32. either, so I wouldn't go and spend my $50.
