- I would save my money and wait for 3.1 (or at least 3.0) to be released for
- the 500. The reason is that 2.x layers performance is lousy - under 3.x
- they've fixed this problem (oh boy have they - I think what I've seen on a
- 3.x A3000 was at least a 3x increase in windowing speed by software upgrade
- alone), and it should make operation on an A500 much smoother. Repeat,
- ADOS 3.x is a *speed enhancement*, not a speed eater, over 2.x.

- On the other hand, it shouldn't be forever until 3.x is available for the 500,
- either, so I wouldn't go and spend my $50.
