  11. This is an A2630 hardware problem for anyone at CBM.
  12. (are you there, Dave?).

  14. A client has a A2630(rev 9.1) with 4 megs running in a A2000(rev 4.?) 
  15. under 1.3 with no problems.

  17. I upgraded the system to 2.1 with a new ROM.  Upon booting I got 
  18. the 2630 monitor screen.  (The system booted up fine without the 
  19. 2630.)  Knowing this meant I probably had old 2630 ROMS,  I checked 
  20. them.  Yep, rev -04.  Went back to the store and got a set of -07's. 
  21. Stuck them in and now the system will not even boot,  no screen 
  22. flashes, nothing.  Power LED comes on and never flashes.  Double 
  23. checked the ROMs were installed correctly.  All OK.  
  24. But still doesn't work.

  26. Swapped the ROMs between U102 and U103 in case they were 
  27. mislabelled. (Getting desperate here, but did have this 
  28. happen one time!)

  30. Swapped them back. Still doesn't work.

  32. Figured my bad luck, I had a bad set of ROMs.  Back to the 
  33. store and picked up two more sets (our last two).  These don't 
  34. work either, with the same symptoms.

  36. Tried the 2630 in a 2000 with a rev 6.2 board that is 
  37. currently using a GVP 030 Combo board with no problems.

  39. The 2630 doesn't work here either. So I assume it is a 
  40. problem with the 2630.

  42. I can't believe I got 3 bad sets of ROMs in a row. 
  43. (I don't have another 2630 to try them in.)

  45. Any ideas on what I can check on the 2630?
