- I solved this problem by patching the driver file. The standard timeout
- value seems to be 30 seconds, which is 1E in hexadecimal. That value is
- stored in the driver file some 13 bytes BEFORE the name of the printer. If
- you do end up modifying the driver file this way, be sure to make a backup
- copy of the driver file (in DEVS:printers) and be prepared for the
- possibility of a crash in case that you messed up or in case that I am
- wrong or inaccurate in my description ;-)
- I had good luck with my ancient Epson FX printer, changing the
- timeout from 30 (1E) to 60 seconds (3C)
