  28. I solved this problem by patching the driver file.  The standard timeout
  29. value seems to be 30 seconds, which is 1E in hexadecimal.  That value is
  30. stored in the driver file some 13 bytes BEFORE the name of the printer.  If
  31. you do end up modifying the driver file this way, be sure to make a backup
  32. copy of the driver file (in DEVS:printers) and be prepared for the
  33. possibility of a crash in case that you messed up or in case that I am
  34. wrong or inaccurate in my description ;-)
  35.     I had good luck with my ancient Epson FX printer, changing the
  36. timeout from 30 (1E) to 60 seconds (3C)
