- Yea, if you've got a lowres/no-lace/no overscan animation where only 1/2"
- of the display screen changes between each frame - then 60fps is no
- problem. Start trying to play an animation of some use (suitable for video),
- and 15fps is out of the question.
-
- We will most likely see 30fps animations once SCSI II is available and a new
- format is derived to read direct from HD with little or NO compression.
- With the current Op-5 anim format and a 25mhz 040, 30fps on a full motion animation is impossible. New anim viewers will increase the speed, but
- we still won't see 30fps HAM8 anims until new methods are derived for
- animation playback.
-
- I've got a 4000, and I can't even begin to get an acceptable playback
- rate for a HAM8 hires animation. I however get very nice playback speeds
- with 3 bitplane dctv anims.
