  20. So when you call again to ask if they are going to carry the SF channel
  21. (or the PTEN channel, or provide cable ready tv service, etc) when
  22. they respond with the usaul cable comapny attitude of "No, because you
  23. will throw your money at us anyway attitude."  Tell them that that is
  24. fine, but you will be dropping your subscription to cable.  Then after
  25. you are no longer paying their extortionist rates... call them once a
  26. week and very politely, without identifying yourself, ask if they
  27. carry the ____(fill in what you want) channel.  If they do,
  28. resubscribe, if they don't: thank them and hangup without identifying
  29. yourself.

  31. I personnaly can't wait until we do not need to depend on this
  32. needless monopoly system for receiving video signals.  It sucks!
  33. The only monopoly that I can remember having actually worked, was
  34. AT&T's monopoly on the phone system...  US cable companies are the
  35. worst at providing services and reasonable rates.  But they do respond
  36. to customer demand, just only when they perceive it is GREAT enough.
  37. Help them perceive it, call them politely every week!  :-)
