I think it 'might' be possible to get 30fps on a 4000 if individual frames were buffered into chip ram with no ANIM compression, and I'm talking a 16color image - theres no way we are gonna see a superhires/256,000 color anims playing at 30fps no matter how good the software gets (at least not on this current chipset)
Well, pageflipping is surely possible at that rate but it would be a rather
limited animation with just 3 frames (1280x400x8) fitting into chip memory.
What should be possible with enough memory or a fast harddisk is a 30fps
320x400x8 animation. Some limited sceneries (with small deltas) might
also allow 640x400x8.
A DSP might change that but the final limit will be the 7MB/s bandwidth
to chip memory (640x400x8 30fps with no deltas requires 7.7MB/s).
