- Everyone, CHECK OUT THE LATEST MAG: CINEFANTASTIQUE!
-
- It has a 23 page review of the new SciFi series Babylon 5. I read the article
- and the show looks very impressive!!! The whole show operates at a fraction of
- Star Trek's the NEXT GENERATION budget, but looks better visually, and its
- shows are better planned ahead of time.
- The show's special effects uses 8 Amigas each fitted with 32 megs of ram, a
- Video Toaster 2.0 and an 040 card. They are netted together for parallel
- processing and so the achieve super fast rendering rates. This Amiga setup
- has saved the show considerable money, yet the quality of the Rendering
- software is as good or better than high end expensive machiness.
-
- If the show is successful, it will put the AMIGA on the Map as a very
- capable and amazing graphics powerhouse computer! The video industry is going
- to be revolutionized by the Toaster, and this show is the first step. Albeit
- the Toaster is already known to the majority of video users, but this will no
- doubt prove its worth and capability, while showing that such computer systems
- need not be expensive and out of reach of the ordinary video user.
-
- So, do yourself a favor and set your VCR to February, the date announced
- for the show's premier!!! DON'T MISS IT!!! FELL THE AMIGA EXPERIENCE!
