- This is the approach taken by HP (I don't know if it was their idea or
- from POSIX or whatever): simply set the environment variable LANG as
- "dutch", "finnish" &c, and lo!, sort, globbing, &c begin to work as
- they should in the specified language.

- (There are some bugs yet, and in fact I have to set LANG as
- "finnish.iso88591" as there's also the HP Roman-8 character set, but
- the idea is right, IMHO.)
