  14. Maybe this has come out,  I have not read every entry, but what
  15. really annoys me is selling programs with known problems, and
  16. known patches to them, but without the patches.

  18. An example from real life.

  20. As our Sun dealer told me when I tried to get the patches:

  22. - we give you the patches, if you buy a software maintenance contract.

  24. - And we give the program a 3 month guarantee, and give you patches
  25. to every problem you bump into..

  27. - Or you can BUY all known patches to the product you just purchased!!

  29. It is an unbundled product, and the patches were not in usual
  30. sun patch sites, but I found them after some searching from
  31.  anonymous ftp sites.

  33. The patch collection was 1.6 Megabytes, and the README file listed
  34. *really many* bugs.
