-
- 'Tis not truly public domain (I think), but it's free: Sun's free XDR and
- RPC code, which was ported to MS-DOS as part of the SOSS NFS server for
- MS-DOS. I do not know how well-tested the client side is, but the server
- side works well enough to support a working NFS server.
-
- Recent BSD releases include (will include?) NFS, which means they have
- to have RPC in there, too. You could probably port these RPCs to MS-DOS,
- if the SOSS port was for some reason unsatisfactory.
-
- Of course, if you want things like documentation and support, you need to
- go commercial with FTP SW, Sun, and probably many other MS-DOS TCP vendors.
- (I'd be surprised if Beame and Whiteside did not have RPC for MS-DOS.)
