- Thank you for all the responses to my question about LCP/IPCP with Brixton
- PPP software on one side (on a Sparc) to a Cisco on the other side.
- I turned off as many negotiation parameters as possible AND also had
- my internet provider change his un-numbered interface to a numbered
- interface. The second procedure didn't work, UNTIL, I rebooted. For
- some reason, whenever changing/adding an interface with brixton, the
- machine must be rebooted (never mentioned in the manual). I noticed
- that after my reboot (accidental, due to someone switching off teh router),
- that everything was magically working.
-
- Now if only I could get free PPP to work...but that's for another day.
- Or, if I could get DNS resolving on the sun, but I have leads there.
-
- Again, thank you for all the responses.
