- I know that the Prestoserve board works to speed NFS writes by saving the
- data to NVRAM and returning immediately to the client RPC, rather than
- requiring the client process to block until the disk write finishes.
- I'm wondering if the support also speeds local operations on the exported
- disks which are implicitly synchronous (at least with the UFS file system).
-
- Also, does anyone have any experience with eNFS? This is NFS with AFS/DFS-like
- local caching, from the promotional material I've seen. How the caches are
- kept consistent across clients and serves, I have no idea.
