- Well, I looked for a FAQ in the messages that are cached here for this
- newsgroup, as well as checking news.answers. Be warned, this is a
- prelude to a *very* novice question about appletalk capabilities!
-
- I am looking at putting a postscript laser printer on our ethernet.
- We also have an Appletalk net connected to the ethernet via gatorbox.
- The question is whether one can configure the Macs/gatorbox to allow
- the Macs to send print jobs to the ethernet-based printer.
-
- The printer will be set up to use the LPD protocol over TCP/IP.
-
- Can it be done? Special software/gatorbox config/etc. needed?
- Many thanks for any guidance.
