- I've been using CPbackup 7.2 for windows for a while with my Jumbo 120, and
- it is really nice. However I will wait for them to release 8.0 as a backup
- only package, I don't want the rest of the tools. (I already have norton).
- According to tech support they are likely to release the backup as a separate
- package some time, as they have always done that in the past.
-
- For now I am happily backing up to my new SCSI tape (Archive Viper 150/250 mb)
- using ASPIBIN (tar) to backup both drives to a 250Mb tape, it seems to work well
- except system and hidden files are not backed up (but thats ok as I would have
- to re-install DOS anyway before doing a restore!). Also it means the 386part???
- (the windows permanent swap file) doesn't get backed up, which is a relief. (its 40 Mb or so!)
-
- The file mark positioning seems to work fine so I can extract files from either
- c: or D: tar archives by positioning the tape before the restore. and backing
- up C: with the /dev/nrct device. (No rewind version).
