  11.     I have the MKS toolkit which has compress, but it does only 14-bit
  12.     compression and not the 16-bit compression that UNIX has. Is there a
  13.     public domain version (e.g.  GNU) of compress that works on MS-DOS?

  15. The current DOS MKS Toolkit has 16 bit compression.
