  14. I have a friend who has some data written out to a DAT (used tar then dd to 
  15. tape).  The data is ASCII.  He's since moved to another machine, running DOS
  16. and he would like to recover the data using a WangDAT (I think he said it was
  17. compatible with a "1300?"...).  He has an UltraStor SCSI controller.  Are
  18. there any utilities I can get for him to enable him to read the data to the
  19. DOS disk on his new machine?  What about any TAR's available for DOS?

  21. I wanted to guide him to 386BSD, but it has no DAT drivers yet written and
  22. I have little experience in writing my own.
