  23. I would suggest using two single ended/differential converters. This extends
  24. the cable length to 25 m.

  26. BTW, a question for you hardware wizards: assume a setup like this:

  30. Where the T's are the terminators, the -- stand for single ended and
  31. the == for differential; the +'s are a connection to a controller
  32. and the /'s are SE/D converters.

  34. What is the maximum cable length? 6m for each -- segment, plus
  35. 25 m for ===? Or 25-x m for ===, with x being some value
  36. that converts the --- length into a differential length?
  37.  
  38. Of course this means that the lengthes are either calculated
  39. from propagation delay (the 25-x case) or from cable factors
  40. like diffusion (the "refresh" case), or both (ending up in some
  41. other value for x).
