  12. I'm in the market for a home-printer at the moment. I want good to laserlike
  13. quality, and maybe color. I don't need postscript as long as I can use
  14. all my Windows TT-Fonts etc. There are 4 models right now which look
  15. interesting. But before buying I'd like to know the experience you people
  16. on the net have with these. The 4 models are:

  18.     - HP Postable Deskjet
  19.     - Canon BJ-200
  20.     - EPSON LQ-100
  21.     - Citizen GX-240 (Color)

  23. Here are the things I'd like to know about:

  25.     - Print quality: Some older Deskjets I've seen didn't really
  26.         align the printouts, so that you had a white line
  27.         between two lines, especially in graphics. Does this
  28.         happen?

  30.     - Speed
  31.  
  32.     - Cartridge cost / refillable ?
  33.         I know I can make my own refill for HP Cartridges. Does
  34.         this also work for Canon? What ink to use?
  35.  
  36.     - Drivers
  37.         Does a Windows-Driver exist?
  38.  
  39.     - Paper handling:
  40.         Problems with envelopes, transparencies etc?
  41.  
  42. I'd much appreciate if you could help me here. If there are enough
