- I just got my LJ4 about 1 week ago,
-
- Besides the 'famous' paper curling and the splendid output,
- I find the spooling of files in windows 3.1 annoying slow.
-
- Below are some statistics.
-
- My system: 486dx-33 4MB Ram
-
- Under windows: +6 MB virtual memory
-
- Spooling: Under WFW v2.0
- Type of files Time taken to spool to printmang
-
- plain text 600dpi 19-22 seconds /page
- text with graphics 600dpi
- avg 1 fig / 2 pg 60-66 seconds /page
-
- Printing:
-
- Very fast - 8-9 ppm
-
- Anybody outthere got the same problems as me. It pretty
- annoying to wait half-an-hour to get a 27 page document to be spooled.
-
-
- Any suggestions and advice? Is it because of the printmang. or my
- system has too little memory? Any ideas about speeding the spooling
- process urgently needed.
-
-
- Please help.
-
- Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
