  12. I just got my LJ4 about 1 week ago,

  14.     Besides the 'famous' paper curling and the splendid output,
  15.     I find the spooling of files in windows 3.1 annoying slow.

  17. Below are some statistics.

  19. My system:  486dx-33 4MB Ram  
  20.  
  21. Under windows: +6 MB virtual memory
  22.  
  23. Spooling:  Under WFW v2.0
  24.     Type of files              Time taken to spool to printmang
  25.  
  26.     plain text 600dpi        19-22 seconds /page
  27.     text with graphics 600dpi
  28.     avg 1 fig / 2 pg        60-66 seconds /page

  30. Printing:

  32.     Very fast - 8-9 ppm

  34.     Anybody outthere got the same problems as me.  It pretty
  35. annoying to wait half-an-hour to get a 27 page document to be spooled.

  38. Any suggestions and advice?  Is it because of the printmang.  or my
  39. system has too little memory? Any ideas about speeding the spooling
  40. process urgently needed.
