  11.     I was wondering if anyone on the net could provide me
  12.   with some help/input/information concerning printers, more
  13.   specifically the issue of voltage and frequency differences
  14.   overseas. I am planning to buy a portable printer or laser
  15.   one for a friend who will be using it overseas mainly, hence
  16.   requiring 220V/50Hz.
  17.     Can he simply use a voltage converter, disgarding the
  18.   frequency ? My knowledge in EE is quite limited. However, I
  19.   would guess the frequency would come in play whenever there
  20.   is a use of motors. 
  21.     I am mostly interested in the Deskjet portable/500, the
  22.   Canon bj200 or else.
